Nematodes are microscopic, transparent worms that are effective in controlling pests like slugs. Once applied, these nematodes enter the slug, where they feed and multiply. Within a few days, the slug stops feeding and typically dies within a week.

These nematodes offer a safe and organic solution for pest control, suitable for use around children, pets, and wildlife. Start your slug control early by applying nematodes at least a week before planting to protect your garden effectively.

Applying nematodes is straightforward: simply mix them with water as per the provided instructions and apply using a watering can or nematode applicator. Ensure the soil is moist and the temperature is above 5ºC during application. Keep the soil consistently moist for at least two weeks afterward to maximise effectiveness.

Nematodes can tolerate occasional frost, so there's no need to worry if temperatures drop after application. In addition to slug nematodes, our range includes options for vine weevil, leatherjacket, chafer grub, ant nematodes, and other insect pests.
